Berlin's Komische Oper will shut down its ballet company after the 200304 season, klassik.com reports.
Intendant Andreas Homoki has announced that the contracts of the company's 23 dancers will not be extended beyond July 2004, the web site says.
As part of its opera reform effort, Berlin is planning to combine the ballet departments of the city's three opera houses into one organization.
